The sandy beach is in 10 minutes of driving on the car. Absolutely near to Villa Koala is Levada da Calheta, passing through pine and Eucalypt woods - a magnificent place for the pedestrian lonely walks. In immediate proximity from Villa Koala there are many opportunities for picnic, 40 minutes of fine walk on levada  will lead you to specially equipped platform. 10 minute trip on the car will result you in Jardim do Mar - one of the most attractive villages on island.
